We held a meetup group this past Sunday with the Mount Vernon Miniature Schnauzer Club, and it was a blast!

Our Puppy Party Was A Hit!

Best Friends Gaithersburg hosted a St. Patty's Day Puppy Adoption Party this past Saturday, March 13th.  We had lots of visitors to meet our little rottweiler mix puppies who took over the camp room.  It was so much fun! There are still puppies left so if you are interested contact the center or Lizzy's Lodge for more information.

Best Friends Pet Care Gaithersburg will be hosting a puppy adoption event this Saturday, March 13th from 2 pm - 4pm.  We have NINE rottweiler mix puppies that all need homes!  They are approximately 12 weeks old and are ADORABLE!!

Tyson's First Camp Day

Meet Tyson, Our Newest Camper!

Tyson is an eight month old Rhodesian Ridgeback (you can noticeably see his ridge, which is a charateristic of the breed)  Today was his first day in camp, and he started making friends immediately!  He likes to hang out with the big rotteweiler, Max, and has also instantly bonded with Ovie, who is the same age as him.  He LOVES nylabones, and playing keep away and chase with Ovie.

What a great first day Tyson!  We are glad we will be seeing you on a regular basis for our doggy daycamp!

King Farm Dog Park Review

Sonic and Smudge visited the King Farm Dog Park, located in the King Farm community. 

What Sonic and Smudge liked...

• There were water fountains for both humans and dogs, benches, and poop cans
• The park is split into a big dog area and small dog area
• Unlike Bickerstaff Dog Park, there are trees that provide shade

What Sonic and Smudge didn't like...

• It is not an open and public park, you must register and pay a fee to get the combination to open the entrance
• While there was both gravel and grass, the grassy areas were extremely muddy; they both went home with dirty paws

Sonic enjoyed exploring and smelling the perimeter, while Smudge had to tolerate sitting for a picture with a Great Dane (a picture I've always wanted; it took six attempts and still didn't turn out)
